A child in a hot spring resort in Himalaya 4

2025/5/12

This entire story was shared during the Q&A session at Genla’s lecture.

It all began with a question:

“What do you do with a child who is completely out of control?”

In essence, the question was asking: What do you do with a kid who’s truly bad at heart?

Genla replied,

“Don’t worry. I was the worst. No one can beat my record.”

One wonders what kind of trouble he caused—but he says it with such conviction that no one doubts him.

A child born into favorable circumstances has a high chance of becoming a good person.

But the world is not fair.

And yet—

“No matter what circumstances a child is born into, if you teach them love and compassion, they will grow up well.”

“Hold them with care and sincerity every day. That alone is enough.”

Genla truly lives by these words.

It’s not just about sending 95% of his children to university.

It’s about raising every child to become a human being full of love and kindness.

He declares that there is no bullying at Jhamtse Gatsal.

“Why does bullying exist in every school?”

“Because schools fail to teach the most important thing: love and compassion.”

“The ten greatest misfortunes in the world were caused by people who graduated from prestigious schools.”
