“Sanji! This is your third time. You really have to choose a job for good now.”

“I already have.”

“Oh yeah?”

“I want to be a chef.”

Sanji was known for being a late sleeper.

And the kitchen starts early.

That’s not going to work…

“It starts early in the morning. Are you really serious about this?”

“I am.”

And so, Sanji’s training to become a chef began.

To Genla’s surprise, Sanji worked hard and stayed committed.

“You’re really working hard.”

“If you can master three dishes, I’ll start paying you,” Genla said.

“Got it!”

Six years later, Sanji had become a fine cook.

The lesson Genla wanted to share was simple:

“Every person is born for a reason.”

“Everyone is different. He just needed to find where he belongs.”

In a Japanese society that tries to measure everything by standardized scores,

these words are hard to hear?but deeply important.
